Setting up best practices, engaging our associates, building on strong foundations.About the roleThis role reports to the HR Leader International and is responsible for the management and execution of HR for the Central & Eastern Europe region (associates currently based in Germany, Switzerland, Poland and Russia), and can be based in Germany or Switzerland. These countries are mainly composed of commercial and functional teams (65 associates to date with clear Business strategy to grow organically and inorganically). The HR Manager is the HR Business Support to the Business Leader in the C&EE region. As part of this region, The HR Manager will support the EMEA Headquarters based in Switzerland, Canton of Vaud. In addition, the HR Manager C&EE is part of the broader International HR Team.The primary role of the HR Manager is to ensure day-to-day HR is run smoothly in the countries, in compliance with labour law, but also in a way that fosters engagement from the employees. Beyond the day-to-day work, the HR Manager is the go-to-person to execute our growth strategy, whether through external acquisition (managing M&A), launch of new product / hiring of new teams. The HR Manager brings expertise to support the Business in this strategy.Main responsibilities will include:Manage day-to-day HR topics and coordinate with regional or global HR support such as Payroll team, Regional Associate Service Center, Total Rewards…,As the go-to-person, provide day-to-day HR advice and oversight to Local management, Regional HR and Associates,Collaborate closely with and manage external providers such as local legal advisors, payroll provider, benefits providers, recruiting agency…Coordinate mobility and relocations, especially to the Headquarters in Switzerland.Foster a culture locally where associates feel empowered and listened at, and enabled to perform at their best. Provide training and education on relevant topics as appropriate both to Managers and Associates. Check the pulse of the organization and work closely with the Country Business Leaders to create a high performing environment,When required, facilitate discussions and solve litigations with employees and ensure we are compliant with legal expectations (Works Council, Unions…),Bring HR support and guidance to Business initiatives such as launching / acquiring new products…Identify Talents, and support their development internally. Partner with local leadership on evolving the organization as per Business needs ( including supporting critical recruitments,)Stay on top of local best practices and propose ways to implement at Diabetes CareImplement locally regional / global policies or processes such as performance process, annual compensation cycle, new way of working, I&D initiatives…Streamline, simplify and optimize the local HR offering : first during the post spin-off period, but also going forward, and even more relevantly in case of future growth.On top of these local or Hub responsibilities, the HR Manager C&EE will have the responsibility of an HR cross-regional topic to drive (for EMEA). An example of such responsibility could be I&D, Talent Development, Comp&Ben, … and will be defined in the first year. This contribution will ensurevisibility for our new HR Talent,making sure we, as an HR organization, deliver to the Business more than the day-to-day work but also very important developmental support,and finally, will ensure our new HR joiner has space to grow even further at NewCo.About youFor this role, we are looking for an HR professional with a wide local HR experience in Germany and Switzerland, preferably in various types of companies (smaller and bigger ones). Experience in Eastern Europe and Russia, even via external providers is a clear plus. Being fluent in German and English is a must.
