Description

LSH Auto is looking for an experienced and strategic HR Manager to join our team based in Birmingham.

As a HR Manager, you will play a pivotal role in aligning human resources practices with business objectives, fostering strong relationships with colleagues and operational stakeholders. You will be responsible for providing strategic and hands-on HR support, focusing on employee relations, policy implementation, and leadership development to drive a high-performing and inclusive work culture. This role requires an experienced HR professional with at least three years in an advisory or managerial capacity and a CIPD Level 5 qualification.

Hours - 40

Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 (dependant on experience) Plus company car or car allowance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Employee Relations Management:
    • Act as the main point of contact for all employee relations matters, including handling complex disciplinary cases, performance management issues, grievance and attendance management.
    • Provide expert advice and guidance to people leaders on managing employee relations in compliance with company policy.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with operational stakeholders to understand business needs and align HR strategies with business goals.
    • Collaborate with managers to identify HR challenges and opportunities for improvement.
  3. Leadership Coaching and Development:
    • Coach and mentor people leaders, providing them with the tools and skills to effectively manage their teams.
    • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance leadership capabilities and employee engagement.
  4. Policy Implementation and Maintenance:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and consistency.
    • Regularly review and update policies to reflect changes in employment law and best practices.
  5. Cultural Enhancement:
    • Lead initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture that aligns with company values and promotes inclusivity and diversity.
    • Identify and drive actions to improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
  6. Strategic Workforce Planning:
    • Support the wider team with the development and execution of workforce strategies that meet current and future business needs.
    • Contribute to talent management efforts, including succession planning and career development initiatives.



Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an HR advisory or managerial role.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification.
  • Proven expertise in handling employee relations and advising on complex cases.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience in coaching and developing leaders at various levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement HR policies and contribute to culture-building initiatives.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into HR solutions.
