HR Manager Location; Aycliffe Package; 56K-£63K including bonus (plus car allowance) I am looking for an experienced HR Manager with a solid background in both strategic and operational HR functions, particularly within manufacturing environments. This is a hands-on role, responsibilities will include:
• Carrying out operational and compliance driven HR activities for 3 manufacturing sites and supporting the UK functional organisation within the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Organisation. All sites have a unionised production workforce.
• Partnering with Plant Leadership teams on achieving site goals whilst maintaining positive and efficient employee/industrial relations contributing to the success of the overall organisation.
• Coordinating with people managers in all employee-related issues including employee investigations, absence issues, counselling, grievance, and discipline etc.
• Liaising with Leadership in all negotiations such as shift changes, redundancy processes and other general employee-impacting changes.
• Supporting the deployment of Global HR changes and Plant HR priorities through the organisation
Your Skills and Expertise
• CIPD qualified
• Several years’ experience in HR with a focus on operational HR functions, ideally within Manufacturing or Logistics
• Operating as member of a Senior Leadership Team with the ability to work with people at all levels, balancing employee needs, concerns and business priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, being able to think critically, make sound decisions and coach leaders to do the same.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
• A degree in a relevant field would be strongly preferred.
• Experience within a multi-national, matrix organisation.
• Experience working in a highly complex and ever-changing labour environment.
• Proven ability to handle ambiguity and navigate uncertainty.
• Excellent communication skills, with a talent for simplifying complex concepts and tailoring messages to diverse audiences
