Get Golfing CIO, a charity with a mission to make golf more accessible for all, is seeking an experienced People Business Partner to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a thriving and dynamic organisation which manages and operates 13 sites with 7,000 members and over 160,000 visitors each year.
The successful candidate will be part of a £20m revenue company of 600 people which reinvests profits from its operations into its venues, courses, the development of its people, and importantly, community oriented charitable initiatives local to its sites.
Our model is to maximise revenue through memberships, golf days, events, functions, and Food & Beverage. We say that “our courses are for golfers while our clubhouses are for everyone”.

Role Purpose
Our People Team are responsible for supporting General Managers to create the right environment at their venues to help us deliver our charitable aims. Reporting to the People Operations Director, the People Business Partner will work with the Senior Leadership Team and venue leadership teams to make sure that we operate in line with HR good practice and create an environment in which all of our team members can thrive. Over time, the People Business Partner will be involved in the development and delivery of the ‘people’ elements of our new strategy.
The delivery of our charitable aims is reliant on Get Golfing CIO operating as a sustainable and profitable business so the successful candidate will need to combine business awareness with a strong HR generalist background.
The role is based at our Headquarters at Redlibbets Golf Club, Sevenoaks but with regular travel to our other venues (which are largely based around the M25).
· Build effective working relationships with site leaders, understanding and supporting them with their key people challenges
· Ensure implementation of effective and consistent people related policy and practice
· Support sites with recruitment selection and onboarding processes for new starters
· Support Talent and Succession planning to ensure the organisation can retain, develop and progress team members into key positions within Get Golfing
· Provide effective advice, support and planning on a wide range of organisational development and change management initiatives and interventions.
· Actively support the delivery of HR People services across the organisation, reducing risks and enhancing people services and activities.
· Take a coaching approach to support the development of capability and knowledge in managers and leaders so that they can effectively manage their people.
· Support managers with ER related issues and advice on appropriate processes for addressing them
· Line management of a Senior Payroll Officer/ HR Administrator to ensure accurate and effective payroll services
Knowledge and Experience
· CIPD Graduate or equivalent
· Sound knowledge of employment legislation
· Proven experience of successfully managing complex employee relations issues.
· Strong business acumen and financial awareness
· Experience working in an HR advisory capacity
