Description

The Human Resources Department supports the global Church mission as a partner to enable a qualified and engaged workforce to labor diligently in the Lord’s vineyard. The purpose of this role is to support HR core/essential work for an area requiring expert professional knowledge. Employees at this level work with a high degree of latitude, have expert knowledge, and handle the most complex issues and problems.



Responsibilities

Accountable to deliver the following and other essential activities within the Europe North Area:

  • Talent acquisition activities, including recruitment, job offers, onboarding, and orientation.
  • HR policy administration, interpretation, and support.
  • Compensation and benefit administration including issue resolution and communication.
  • Workforce relations, dispute resolution process, and compliance.
  • Training and support of managers and employees.
  • Performance management coaching and calibration
  • Other essential tasks as assigned.

In addition, this position serves as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to leadership, aligning HR strategies with business objectives to drive organizational success through the following tasks:

  • Strategic Workforce Planning: Partner with leadership to assess workforce needs, develop talent strategies, and align HR initiatives with business goals.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, addressing workplace concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Change Management: Lead or support organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication throughout the process.
  • Performance Management: Advise managers on goal setting, performance reviews, and employee development plans to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with hiring managers to identify talent needs, participate in recruitment processes.
  • Learning and Development: Identify training needs and support the implementation of development programs to build organizational capability and employee engagement.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze HR metrics and provide actionable insights to leadership, driving data-informed decision-making.
  • Policy and Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, local labor laws, and HR best practices, providing guidance to managers and employees as needed.
  • Succession Planning: Support leaders in identifying and preparing high-potential talent for future leadership and critical roles within the organization


Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong commitment to the mission and values of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field or CIPD level 5 and extensive professional HR experience or any combination of equivalent education and related work experience
  • Expert knowledge of HR operations
  • Familiarity with best practices of HR functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
  • Key skills and core competencies include the ability to:
